The Tahquamenon Logging Museum

This designated State Historic Site is situated on M-123 simply north of Newberry.

Situated on 29 acres on shores regarding the Tahquamenon River, the museum functions items from Michigan’s start of lumbering. Services include a geniune prepare shack, original C.C.C. building, songs pavilion, picnic location, nature trail, boardwalk and present store.

Simply take a trip of museum, see a fall presentation of very early logging in Michigan, look at the countless artifacts, see a genuine household home, take a walk along the nature path and walk the boardwalk which goes to an amazing view of the Tahquamenon River.

The museum is open Memorial Day weekend through September 30, 2016.
and is the site of a number of special activities during the summer months.

Join united states for starters of your delicious Lumberjack Breakfasts prepared regarding old timber kitchen stove and served in Cook Shack. Breakfast includes bacon, eggs, homemade sausage, pancakes, and deep-fried potatoes.

LUMBERJACK BREAK FAST. Visit and luxuriate in an old fashioned lumberjack break fast served from 7:00 a.m. – noon at the Logging Museum situated about 1 mile north of downtown Newberry on M-123. All you can consume!

Summer 25
LUMBERJACK BREAK FAST may be served from 7:00 a.m. – noon at the Logging Museum. Spend an hour or the time and revel in good food, nature trail, and go to the exhibits at the logging museum.

July 23 & 24
LUMBERJACK BREAKFAST & COUNTRY/ POLKA MUSIC FESTIVAL. Morning meal will likely be served from 7:00 a.m.-noon on both times in the Logging Museum. Go for a walk on nature trail and journey the logging museum.

August 27 & 28
LUMBERJACK TIMES & COUNTRY/POLKA MUSIC FESTIVAL. Lumberjack Breakfast is supported from 7 am until noon both days.

September 23
Potluck for all volunteers and musicians at the Museum.

September 24
LUMBERJACK MORNING MEAL: 7 am to Noon – Lumberjack break fast at Museum
1 pm – 4 pm – initial MI Fiddlers Jamboree at United states Legion Hall (next to the State Police article, 7964 M-123) do-it-yourself soup, pies & so much more! An enjoyable family members event! 4:30pm to 5:30pm Square dancin, g polkas, waltzes!
